Quiz answers
Your quiz answers are processed in your browser. They are not sent to our server unless you choose to leave your e-mail address after the result (see below).
E-mail address
If you tick the consent box and submit your address under a quiz result, we store the address, the date and time, the wording you agreed to, and your result (hair type and porosity) on our own server. We use it only to send you hair guides and updates from HairAdvice, we don't sell it, and we don't share it. To be removed, write to info@omnilearn.org and the address is deleted.
Analytics
A banner asks for your choice on your first visit. Until you accept, Google Analytics and Microsoft Clarity are not loaded and your browser sends nothing to Google or Microsoft. Your choice is stored in your browser (local storage, key olm_consent) and can be changed from "Cookie choices" in the footer.
If you accept, we use Microsoft Clarity to understand how visitors use the site: which pages they read, where they click, where the quiz loses people. It records anonymized usage data, such as clicks, scrolling and page views, plus technical data like browser type and approximate location derived from your IP address. Text you type into fields is masked. Microsoft processes this data under its own privacy statement.
If you accept, we also use Google Analytics 4 to count visits, see which guides people reach from search, and measure how many finish the quiz or click through to Amazon. It sets first-party cookies (_ga, _ga_*) that last up to two years. Advertising features and data sharing for ads are turned off, and event data is deleted after 14 months. Google processes this data under its privacy policy; you can also use Google's opt-out browser add-on.
Error monitoring and usage statistics
Sentry (Functional Software, Inc., San Francisco, USA) detects JavaScript errors on the site. When an error occurs, it receives the error message, the page address, your browser and operating system, and a truncated technical context. Sentry sets no cookie. It loads only after you accept.
Mixpanel (Mixpanel, Inc., San Francisco, USA) measures aggregate product usage, such as page views. Before you give consent, Mixpanel stores no identifier and does not use your IP address. After you consent, it stores a random identifier in your browser's local storage and derives your approximate location from your IP address, which it does not store.
Sentry error data is kept for 90 days. Mixpanel data is kept for the provider's default retention period. Both providers are based in the United States; for these transfers we rely on the standard contractual clauses.
Affiliate links
When you click a link to Amazon, you leave this site. Amazon may set its own cookies to attribute a purchase to us. That is governed by Amazon's privacy notice.
Server logs
Our web server keeps standard access logs (IP address, time, page requested, browser) for security and troubleshooting. They are deleted after 14 days.
Your rights
Depending on where you live (EU/UK GDPR, California CCPA and similar laws), you may have the right to access, correct or delete data about you, or to object to its processing. We don't sell personal data. Write to info@omnilearn.org and we'll answer within 30 days.
